Job Description Clango has an opening for a ColdFusion Developer located in Washington, DC. The ColdFusion Developer will work with a team of developers on a large project that is being used by the National Park Service as a high priority, high volume web application.

Primary Responsibilities Support the development and maintenance of a high priority, high traffic web applications. Work with the Project manager and development lead to execute on items from our issue tracking system. Design and build functional enhancements to existing applications from requirements; Troubleshoot and resolve performance, functional, and data issues on existing applications; provide development support on new applications.

Required Technical Competencies
  • Must possess strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and Accessibility Standards
  • 4-6 years development experience with ColdFusion or another modern web scripting language
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Skilled with one or more JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, React.js, or Ractive
  • At least 1 year experience writing unit tests, either manual or automated.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on software in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills
  • Experience with GitHub and GitHub Flow
  • ColdFusion ORM, Java Hibernate, or a similar persistence library
  • Experience with ColdFusion frameworks such as FW/1 or FuseBox
  • Familiarity with Twitter Bootstrap, Grid960, Materialize, or similar CSS framework
  • Familiarity UI/UX principles
  • Familiarity with DevOps including Jenkins, Docker,
  • Experience with other web languages, preferably Java Spring, JavaScript, and .NET
  • Experience integrating with external APIs such as commodity map providers, OAuth, SOAP or ReST

Education/Level of Experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • 4 year’s practical, full time development experience with ColdFusion, JavaScript, or other web programming languages
  • Must be a US citizen.
